The Hoh Rainforest

When you think of giant trees, Redwoods come to mind, but there are some incredibly large Sitka Spruce, Western Hemlocks and Coastal Douglas Fir trees in the Hoh Rainforest of Olympic National Park. Sometimes they fall and because the area is so dense in moisture and nutrients, new trees grow directly out of the old trees. The fallen trees usually die and and are now called nurse trees. Such an amazing sight.
